500 (Internal Server Error) - Nightlife Coordination App Sample Project

I’m getting an “500 (Internal Server Error)” error when trying to view the sample project for the Nightlife Coordination App at
http://whatsgoinontonight.herokuapp.com/

Is anyone else seeing this performance?
It looks like the /api/bars/start/(city) route has some sort of issue.

I get the same behaviour. I just checked the code on GitHub, the only thing it does is using the Yelp api. So I guess the api changed (the code is 2 years old) or maybe the credentials have expired.
