Just started making my way through the first responsive html/css course, been through multiple ways of doing it and another forum post with no success.
Stuck on the first 1/3.
1 - Your
a element should have the anchor text of “cat photos”.
The code I have is:
Here's a cat
photos for you to follow.
a href= “…cat link…”> cat
Taken these out to display.
First added to the code. <
Last added to the code. >
Is it me or am I missing something?
I think that wrapping it in a p element is throwing the tests off
do it without the p element around the anchor element, see if in that way it passes
don’t call me buddy, please
what have you tried this time, what’s your new code?
don’t use a screenshot, so I can actually debug it, please
When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.
See this post to find the backtick on your keyboard. The “preformatted text” tool in the editor (
</>) will also add backticks around text.
Note: Backticks are not single quotes.
eh. ok, I was just trying to be nice and pretty new to coding/these forums.
So this is what you meant?
<a href="http://freecatphotoapp.com" target="_blank">cat photos</a>
I have just copied the next questions code to complete the task I was on.
Thanks for the quick response.
yes, if you ask for help about code you have written you need to format it correctly ot people can’t help you
have you learned why the test was failing? would you be able to complete this challenge again on your own?
Yep, that’s something I’ve learnt now thank you. I do understand why it wasn’t working now as well.
A great help.
