A workaround for passwords in backend

A workaround for passwords in backend

I’ve been working on the api projects and when I got to using databases the method I went with I needed to insert a username and password into my code. I had it set to ignore for posting to github but the thing is people would still be able to see it looking up the project on cloud9. I set that to private but you can only do that with one project and I’m sure that won’t be the last database I will need to use. Any ways to get around that?

I could do that it will just take more time and work so I first wanted to see if it could be done with cloud9.

I will give that a try thanks for the helpful responses.
