# Adblock Plus Removing Media Icons

Ad Block Plus is removing the social media icons from my websites. Is there any hack or trick to get them to always display?

Switch off ad block for your page.

If people want to install a third party plugin that alters your code on the client side, that’s up to them. Ad Block’s overzealous blocking of social media icons is a bit insane, but if that’s something they tell people they provide, and they keep those options switched on, that’s on the user 🙂

You could provide a footer with some plain links to those contact avenues if you wanted to have a graceful fallback solution.
