The id attribute is used for a few things:

  • Allows you to style a specific element with CSS
  • Used in JS to access a specific element
  • Required for some accessibility enhancements

You add it to an element’s opening tag just like any other attribute. For example, when you added the action attribute to the form element you used the format:

name="value"

Where you replace name with the name of the attribute and value with the value you want the attribute to have. Do the same thing on the radio button input tag.
