A good compact way to do borders in CSS is:

border: size style color;

Example (https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_border.asp):

border: 1px solid black;

If you want to add rounded corners to your border:

border-radius: size;

Examples:

border-radius: 20px;
border-radius: 10px;

To make a circle you do:

border-radius: 90px;
