Tell us what’s happening:

Your code so far

<div class="container-fluid">
  <h3 class="text-primary text-center">jQuery Playground</h3>
  <div class="row">
    <div class="col-xs-6">
      <div class="well">
        <button class="btn btn-default target"></button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target"></button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target"></button>
      </div>
    </div>
    <div class="col-xs-6">
      <div class="well">
        <button class="btn btn-default target"></button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target"></button>
        <button class="btn btn-default target"></button>
      </div>
    </div>
  </div>
</div>
<div class="well" id="left-well">
</div>
<div class="well" id="right-well">
</div>

I am not understanding what the question is… How to give Give your left well the id of left-well???

You just need to apply the given ids to the existing elements having already the class “well” not to add new elements.
