Adding ability to update FCC forum username?

Hi folks,

As far as I can tell the only way to update your username in the freeCodeCamp forum is to request that a moderator does it on your behalf.

Are there any plans to make it possible for individuals to update their usernames through their account profile, or is this a limitation of Discourse?

I would be really grateful if a moderator could update my forum username to gerhynes to match the name I’m using on GitHub and the freeCodeCamp curriculum.

This is a limitation of Discourse, I believe, but I’ll look in to it a bit more. I’ve gone ahead and updated your username for you

Thanks so much. It’s a shame to have to bother moderators but Discourse may have their reasons.
