ADVICE ON FIRST LANGUAGE TO START LEARNING

Hello there, Professionally, I work as a Kenyan clinical officer. JS Guru introduced me to coding, and I am interested in learning computer programming. My ultimate objective is to work as a programmer for a business, manage websites, and develop apps. I want to work for medical companies since I have degrees in public health, clinical medicine, and surgery. I am confused. I want to focus on one language and become an expert in it. I started learning HTML with the basics of Python, but I found that I enjoyed HTML basics more than Python basics. Can Python help me achieve what I want as a programmer, or even do more than that?

Hello and welcome!

Unlike many new students you already know the field you would like to work in.

My advice: Research what tech medical companies and services are using. By asking directly and checking their job postings. Note what skills they are looking for.

Once you find out what most are using (JavaScript, Python, PHP etc), base your training on that. You will need HTML/CSS in any case, you can already start with them during your research.

Best of luck!
