Advice on Functional coding tests

Hey guys Ive started applying to jobs(thanks to this great community) and i got few responses, Ive got three instances when i got a code test but I failed miserably. The questions were not that hard but I just felt I lacked experience fixing other people’s code, or getting directions to write a program, due to me only working on my personal projects. So the question is what is the best way to practice this and what sites can I use to be better at this? I used hackerrank but not really a fan of it and they dont give free react questions

Hey @joshkwannacode!

Congrats on starting to get interviews for jobs. I am a few months in myself but one day will start the job search.

The best way to work on this is to answer questions on the forum in my opinion. There are tons of question that need answers on react, javascript, python, node , etc.

Look through the javascript section and see if there are recent questions that you can assist people with. This would be a great way to be able to work on looking at other people’s code and fix bugs.

Hope that helps!

Good luck!
