I’m confused what is your main question. But answering the title, Tribute Page is one of the projects of RWD. So yes, it’s required.

As long as you pass the tests, you can choose whatever subject matter you want to.
freeCodeCamp doesn’t care what you choose for the subject matter.

The important thing is that you are using these projects as as way to practice your html and css skills.
