One thing that surprises, and angers me is that this research happened only years after the Nuremberg trials which laid the ground work for modern ethical scientific research, and subject consent. All the doctors and JHU hospital that was complicit and claimed to be better than the terrible unethical Nazis’ research did most of the same mistakes.
