Are watching these videos considered "cheating"

Hello! I’m currently working my way through Chris Course’s HTML canvas tutorial videos and I’m currently planning on building a platforming game once I learn the concepts for HTML canvas. I’m at the video where he explains about how to code gravity, how to code collision detection, etc. and I’m wondering if it’s cheating to watch those videos since those concepts will be used in the platforming game. I’m not sure if this is the part where I try to make these things myself, or if it’s okay to watch this and implement what he says into my project. I know he has videos where he makes platforming games but obviously I won’t watch those. I’m not sure if these are concepts that you are suppose to learn when dealing with html canvas, or if you’re suppose to figure stuff like this out yourself.Thank you!

there is no cheating in a personal project, there is only learning. Make sure you are not taking snippets of code without attribution.
