Basic CSS - Add Borders Around Your Elements

Tell us what’s happening:

I think the testing environment on this specific task has bug. I even used the mobile app to check, but the same thing happens. It says:

  1. Your image should have a border width of 10px.

But I’m really sure that did it correctly. Here is part of my code:

.thick-green-border {
    border-width: 10px;
    border-style: solid;
    border-color: green;
  }
  <a href="#"><img class="smaller-image thick-green-border" src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

Your code so far

<link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style>
  .red-text {
    color: red;
  }

  h2 {
    font-family: Lobster, monospace;
  }

  p {
    font-size: 16px;
    font-family: monospace;
  }

  .smaller-image {
    width: 100px;
  }

  .thick-green-border {
    border-width: 10px;
    border-style: solid;
    border-color: green;
  }
</style>

Basic CSS - Add Borders Around Your Elements

Hi there!

You need to add that new classes to the above img element.

I don’t understand what you meant. That is what I entirely did. It’s actually funny how my border color and border style passed the test but not the border width.

<a href="#"><img class="smaller-image thick-green-border" src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."></a>

please check that your zoom is at 100%

Yes, as I checked it is at 100%. Also, I tried it in other browsers and as well as the fCC mobile app, all of them not working on that specific task in which only the border-width doesn’t pass.

I can pass it with your code

There was a small change to this part of the code recently that may have scrambled something, @a2937 will work on fixing it!
