Basic JavaScript - Assigning the Value of One Variable to Another

Tell us what’s happening:
Describe your issue in detail here.
When I run the code, it returns a syntax error on ‘var’, even though the spelling is the same as the other 'var’s. So now I can’t proceed to the next lesson or rather the project is incomplete.

Your code so far

// Setup
var a;
a = 7;
var b;

// Only change code below this line

var a= var b;

Challenge: Basic JavaScript - Assigning the Value of One Variable to Another

Link to the challenge:

The error is due to incorrect syntax in your code. It seems like you’re trying to assign the value of variable a to variable b. However, the statement var a = var b; is not valid in JavaScript. The var keyword is used to declare a variable, not when you’re using the variable.
Your corrected code should look like this:

// Setup
var a;
a = 7;
var b;

// Only change code below this line
b = a;
