The instruction : " Use the .length property to set lastNameLength to the number of characters in lastName ."

The variable “lastNameLength” should be printed in the console according to the instruction, not the “lastName”. So, you should set the ‘lenght’ property of the “lastName” in the last code line, and then print the output to the console:

lastNameLength = lastName.property; (a property from the instruction)
console.log(a variable from the instruction);
