Basic JavaScript - Stand in Line

Tell us what’s happening:

I’m confused about where to position the code, I tried positioning it in the desired spot and writing what should go, but I’m having trouble.

Your code so far

function nextInLine(arr, item) {
  // Only change code below this line

  return item;
  // Only change code above this line
}

// Setup
let testArr = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5];

// Display code
console.log("Before: " + JSON.stringify(testArr));
console.log(nextInLine(testArr, 6));
console.log("After: " + JSON.stringify(testArr));

Challenge Information:

Basic JavaScript - Stand in Line

Write your code between the two comments.

The first line of code should push the item parameter to the end of your arr. The second step is to remove the first element of the array.

Here is an article that covers the array methods and how they work, with examples.
