I dont know why it is giving error of object which is not being defined

checkProp is a variable

sometimes we don’t need quotes “” :sweat_smile:

Just to extend on the last two posts, in case it isn’t clear…

You are currently checking if there is a property named “checkProp”. What you want to check is if there is a property with the name that is contained in the variable checkProp.

Just to add to the above answers, when we’re calling parameters inside a function we don’t use " ". Just use parameter name which is instead of using

let x=obj.hasOwnProperty("checkProp");

just use

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.
