Hi, I think this is some kind of bug. I’ve put in the meta element and set the charset to UTF-8 but it still won’t let me pass the lesson.

Your code so far

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">

<!-- User Editable Region -->

 <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Colored Markers</title>
  </head>

<!-- User Editable Region -->

  <body>
  </body>
</html>

Your browser information:

User Agent is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/113.0

This could be a conflict with some extension you have installed in your browser. Some extensions add meta tags to your HTML and this might be confusing the tests. You might try disabling your extensions until you find the one that is causing the problem.

Yep my bad, I had Dark Reader on by accident! Disabled it on the laptop I was using when I started this course but forgot to disable it again when I continued on my main computer. Thanks for quick reply.
