Bugged lesson and I figured out the problem

In the lesson https://www.freecodecamp.org/learn/javascript-algorithms-and-data-structures/basic-javascript/compound-assignment-with-augmented-addition
It has

var a = 3;
var b = 17;
var c = 12;

// Only change code below this line

But it kept saying stuff like “You should not modify the code above the specified comment.” I kept resetting it and reread the lesson I changed all the var into let and it worked. No idea who to contact for this.

This is the initial code for the Challenge:

let a = 3;
let b = 17;
let c = 12;

// Only change code below this line
a = a + 12;
b = 9 + b;
c = c + 7;

If you have var, the you did indeed make changes above the line where you were asked to make no changes.

I mean it’s bugged where the default is var, I figured out that it was supposed to be let

When you hit reset lesson it set’s it to var and wanted to let you guys know or somebody to know to fix it.

I didn’t change anything, I double checked it’s just not correct.

The default is not var. The default hasn’t been var for over a year.

The default code is what I pasted above.
