Tell us what’s happening:

I’m on step one of the Building a Boilerplate in CodeRoad. It asks me to click on the hamburger menu and start a new terminal. My VSCode does not have a hamburger menu but instead has "Terminal → New Terminal at the top ribbon.

When I open the terminal and type “echo hello terminal”, nothing happens. It sits there and does not register the task as completed.

It looks like a Windows prompt but the course is meant to run in a linux environment.

Have you tried using Codespaces? Please describe your setup to us.
