Tell us what’s happening:

so, I’m trying to update my str.maketrans() call concatenating to each argument the uppercase version of the argument but it’s not working I need a litle help

    alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'
    shifted_alphabet = alphabet[shift:] + alphabet[:shift]

The instructions say to concatenate the uppercase version to the existing argument. Do you remember how to concatenate?

you mean like alphabet += alphabet.upper() that didn’t work too

Try again - += is an assignment operator. Have a look at concatenation
