Tell us what’s happening:

I am having a problem with step 3 that does not pass: ’ Your generatePassword function should return a new string that is the correct length.’
but when I compare the length of the string to the parameter for the password it appears to be the same. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Try adding another call to the generatePassword function and see if it has password as expected, ie:
