Build a Pin Extractor - Step 17

Tell us what’s happening:

i don’t understand why it is not passing the last part. Everything is in the loop no or am i wrong? It says everything inside the function has to be in the loop and putting secret_codes also in the loop doesnt help.

Your code so far

    for poem in poems:
        lines = poem.split('\n')
        for line_index, line in enumerate(lines):
            words = line.split()
            if len(words) > line_index:
                secret_code += str(len(words[line_index]))
            else:
                secret_code += '0'

    return secret_code

This is the code in the function body. Everything indented is in the function, so it should be in the if statement body.
