Error says your

dollarRegex

must allow any number of spaces before the dollar quantity, and one or more spaces after.

I have tried to use \s* to add 0 or more spaces before the dollar quantity and \s+ after to add one or more spaces after, yet the error persist, what am I doing wrong?

it may not be that clear, it wants you to add spaces inside the sentence, not at start or end of regex, and there are two places, between the part of the number in digit and the part of the number in words, where it asks for 0 or more, and between the number in words and dollars where it asks for 1 or more spaces
