Build an Emoji Reactor - Step 8

Tell us what’s happening:

Hi there, I’m getting stuck on Step 8 re: the js file. I can’t see where I’m going wrong right now and I have a feeling it has to do with syntax, primarily.

The error message I’m getting is: “You should log the text content of the .count element inside the clicked button.”

try having one single console.log, and make sure it is logging the thing requested

why do you have all this stuff?

Thanks @ILM ! I replaced the content of the event listener with a single console log line to make it simpler for this step, and was able to pass it.

Regarding why there was additional code in there to begin with, I was skipping ahead to try to solve other parts of the problem.

skipping ahead can make the tests fail, be careful
