Tell us what’s happening:
I keep getting a type error: isinstance expected 2 arguments, got 1. I get a trace back error to line 6 and line 25. It seems to be struggling to even recognize that I’ve made a function. If I remove line 25 entirely, the code sits pretty, but still tells me I’m getting stuck on step 3 and that my code can’t recognize name as able to be considered true or false.
I’ve looked at other peoples’ code and mine looks the same as theirs for the most part. I’m not seeing what’s wrong.
