C# curriculum has broken modules

Trying to complete the first module group in the Free Foundational C# with Microsoft Certification and I am unable to acquire the trophy on Microsoft Learn.

On the freeCodeCamp side there are 6 modules listed to complete. After completing them all on the Microsoft Learn side I still do not have the trophy. After digging around on Microsoft Learn I found the learning path that gives you this trophy. It only has 4 modules listed and one of them is not listed on freeCodeCamp.

Modules listed on freeCodeCamp:

  • Write Your First C# Code
  • Store and Retrieve Data Using Literal and Variable Values in C#
  • Perform Basic String Formatting in C#
  • Perform Basic Operations on Numbers in C#
  • Guided Project - Calculate and Print Student Grades
  • Guided Project - Calculate Final GPA

Modules listed in the Write your first code using C# (Get started with C#, Part 1) learning path on Microsoft Learn:

  • Write your first C# code
  • Store data with variables in C#
  • Perform basic operations on numbers in C#
  • Add decision logic to your code in C# (missing on fcc)

After completing the module that is not listed on freeCodeCamp I was able to get the trophy on Microsoft Learn and verify it on freeCodeCamp.

The Free Foundational C# with Microsoft Certification curriculum needs to be updated to either include the missing module, or use Badges instead of Trophies to verify that modules are completed. Badges confirm you have completed a specific module, while trophies confirm you completed the full learning path.

After continuing on into the second module group (Create and Run Simple C# Console Applications) on freeCodeCamp I noticed that the missing module (Add decision logic to your code in C#) from the first module group is listed as the third module in the second module group. This module should be moved into the first module group.

Hi @syntaxerrorgeek,

Thank you for helping make FCC better. Bugs can be reported as GitHub Issues. Whenever reporting a bug, please check first that there isn’t already an issue for it and provide as much detail as possible.

I agree with your assessment. I just worked through it again myself and had a similar experience, although the extra module showing on Microsoft’s site was different.

There something out of sync here that needs attention.

Happy coding

yeah i cant verify my thropy and after i passed that modules , i have similar problem though "It appears that the Microsoft user “********-3716” has not earned this trophy.
