C# question from a raw newbie about ^

HI everyone,

I’m new here and just started learning C# purely as a hobby (I am 71 years old and not looking for a job )

Can anyone tell me what this character ^ does please? I have always understood it takes one number to the power of another but not sure in C#. It seems to have a boolean use but I can’t figure it out.

regards

Brian

Welcome to the forums @BrianH.

I don’t know C# so I put the following into search “c# carat symbol
I think you’ll find the answer you’re looking for in the first two hits.

Thank you for your answer which is perfect; it stands for exclusive OR. Sorry I didn’t know what the character was called so I was struggling to do a meaningful internet search.
