C9.io -> Is it required?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently doing the Node.js challenges and it requires me to have an account on c9.io.
Right now to create an account a credit card is needed (although no charge is requested). I don’t have a credit card so I am simply using my laptop to complete the learnyounode challenges (as I am running linux anyway).:penguin:

Is there a problem with that? Do I need to have the challenges on the c9 platform to get my certification?

c9 is not required. You’re free to do the backend projects locally :wink:.
