Can anyone take a look at this htaccess file to see what's wrong?

Hi :slight_smile:

I’m trying to put my website in maintenance mode, but the redirect is failing. I know this isn’t the best topic for FCC, I have no option :sweat:

This is how the .htaccess file looks:

# MAINTENANCE-PAGE REDIRECT
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
 RewriteEngine on
 RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^100\.184\.54\.96
 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/maintenance/maintenance.php$ [NC]
 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !\.(jpe?g?|png|gif) [NC]
 RewriteRule .* /maintenance/maintenance.php [R=302,L]
</IfModule>

I followed the instructions on this article https://perishablepress.com/htaccess-redirect-maintenance-page-site-updates/ and the most basic example is giving a ‘too many redirects’ error. Pray, what could be wrong?

EDIT: For now I put the maintenance page as the index page so that new visitors will not see something inappropriate like website drafts. I can’t get the maintenance mode to work because of the ‘too many redirects’ error…
