Can't change the font size of <p>?

Tell us what’s happening:
ok, so this seems like the most simple challenge, but I can’t for the life of me figure out what I’m doing wrong.

When I try to change the p element to a font size of 16px using this code, nothing changes. The font size only changes when I set it to 18px or above.

Please help!

Your code so far

<style>
p {
  font-size: 16px;
}
</style>

Challenge: Set the font-size of Paragraph Text

Link to the challenge:

a p tag is 1em which i suppose is 16px. So changing it from 16px to 16px wont have an effect.

It works for me. This happens some times. Try a different browser, reboot, clear the browser cache, etc. If that doesn’t work, just back out and move onto the next challenge.

Right, but in setup for the problem, the font size is set to 10px - they’re asking him to change it to 16px. Perhaps it’s a poor choice because as you point out that that is the default so even removing the CSS passes the test. But that is the test.
