the way that seemed to work for me is that I closed vs code down and then I copied the rdb-alpha directory (use cp -r command) to a new directory and i called it rdb-beta
then from rdb-beta i started vs code (code .) and then this somehow reset to a new coderoad that allowed me to enter a new URL
