Challenge: Check Radio Buttons and Checkboxes by Default

Link to the challenge:

 <label for="indoor">
    <input id="indoor" type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor" value="indoor" checked> Indoor</label>
  <label for="outdoor"><input id="outdoor" type="radio" name="indoor-outdoor" value="outdoor"> Outdoor</label><br>
  <label for="loving"><input id="loving" type="checkbox" name="personality" value="loving"checked> Loving</label>
  <label for="lazy"><input id="lazy" type="checkbox" name="personality" value="lazy"> Lazy</label>
  <label for="energetic"><input id="energetic" type="checkbox" name="personality" value="energetic"> Energetic</label><br>
  <input type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL" required>
  <button type="submit">Submit</button>

why your are putting your input tag inside label tag , beacause label tag are used to label something
so proper syntax is

<form target="your targe url" method="get or post">
<label for="fname">first name </label>
<input type="text" name="fname" placeholder="enter first name" required>
<!-- your other code -->

</form>

Nesting an input inside the label is absolutely fine. You’re doing it correctly. Now, if you haven’t made a typo, I suggest resetting the lesson and resubmitting, failing that then clear the browser cookies and resubmit. Also some extensions can interfere with the fcc parser. Support says extensions using Javascript may cause problems so disable any potential suspects. Good luck! :slight_smile:
