Hello everyone, you can call me juxtr.
I am complete beginner in IT in general. I have minimal background so my fields of interests are: Whatever ( though Kotlin & Git could be at top ).
I watched several YT channels, read some handbooks, and I only ended up more confused.
I would be grateful if someone could provide me some useful tips!
I’m into IT since Oct 2002, from my experiences I learn below; other may have different opinions
IT is like medical field, there are plenty of options to choose from
Being from India ( huge population + competition ), I had very little choice to choose my expected career path in IT
Main goal was just to get into job and be financial independent to support myself & family as well
If you’ve luxury of time and money, check into JD of jobs available in your place and choose one of the accordingly
Also check “career paths in IT” videos as well
Learn and get into job at the earliest, later you can do adjustments to your career paths per your liking ( individual contributor vs management etc )
If I look back into my career, the projects I had enjoyed most were the once which made some positive impact on end customers’ lives. IMHO that’s what matters most rather than particular technology choice etc
