Any advice on how to become a computational biologist/bioinformatics specialist? Any ideas on what the work enviroment is like?
Computational biology and bioinformatics are different things. To get into bioinformatics, you’re going to need to get good at statistics. I know less about computational biology. They run simulations but I don’t exactly know what languages those run in. I’d assume C++.

I thought they were the same since their job descriptions looked similar. I need to do more research. But, now i know for sure its computational biology i am interested in. I was curious about the process of becoming one so I can be realistic about how to get into that field. Thank you for the clarification and response.
