Concantenation Struggles

Tell us what’s happening:
I am working on the “Basic JavaScript: Concatenating Strings with the Plus Equals Operator” lesson. Here is the code I am attempting to use:

//
var myStr = "This is the first sentance. ";

myStr += “This is the second sentance.”;
//

Others have complained about this exercise for the same reason. The instructions say to add spaces to strings because concantenation does not allow this. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong?

Your code so far

// Only change code below this line

var myStr = "This is the first sentance. ";
myStr += "This is the second sentance.";
