Copy & paste (not seeing the paste option)

heyo,
i did a quick search for this and see that another thread was started but not tooootally answered.

i’m just wondering how to copy and paste code.
i can copy by right clicking, but don’t seem to have the option to paste:(

i’m on a mac, maybe that has something to do with it?

thanks in advance for your time!

Try Crtl + V . In practice it is faster.

hey Yoelvis,
thanks for the quick reply!

tried that, unfortunately doesn’t work for me.

maybe because i’m on a mac?
i’ve tried Safari, Firefox, and Chrome.

It’s not clear from your post, but I am guessing you might be trying to copy code from the webpage which got copyrights applied and they blocked copy/paste function.
To test it, try to open any other webpage ie theAge.com.au and try to copy/paste using same key combination (Command+C to copy, then Command+V to paste on MAC).

If the combination does not work for you in any program, check the settings of the shortcuts on your device’s keys. In the meantime, it should work to select text and drag without releasing the mouse

nice, thanks guys!

i was pressing control+C & control+V
but on a mac it’s command+C & command+V

wow, total brain fart

PS:
marijuana is pretty much legal where i’m from sooooo…

The first response did say to use control and not command, so maybe that’s where you got confused. Lol. (Windows users generally have no idea about Mac idiosyncrasies.)

thanks, that solved the issue
