"Create a Form Element" Dec. 2021 HELP

Tell us what’s happening:
I’ve tried everything. It keeps telling me " The existing input element should be nested within a form element." But mine is nested! This is what I have :

<imput type="text" placeholder="cat photo URL"

Why won’t it let me pass? What am I doing wrong? I’ve been trying for the last hour!

Challenge: Create a Form Element

Link to the challenge:

Hi @MossiMoth !

Welcome to the forum!

Two issues.

No1:
This has a spelling error.

No.2:
You are missing the closing bracket here

For these exercises, you want to make sure you are not changing code you are not supposed.

The directions say to use the existing input which means you didn’t need to touch the input at all.

That is why your tests are failing is because you changed the input when you weren’t supposed to.

Hope that helps!

:woman_facepalming:Thank you so much
