I actually did not understand the close and open tag

An open and close tag are pairs like: <html></html>

<html> is an open tag, and </html> is a close tag

does that make sense?

here the <p> is the opening paragraph tag, and </p> the closing one

for the comment

this: <!-- starts the comment, and this: --> ends the comment
