i dont know why but moving the text cursor via ctrl+left or ctrl+right just suddenly stopped working in the FCC code editor, any clue why this happened?
edit: its not tab specific either, every FCC tab i open has the bug, which makes me wonder if i just screwed something up somehow…
I just tested in FF on a linux system and ctrl + left/right arrow moves the cursor to the previous/next “non-alphanumeric” character (such as a space, slash, dot). Is this the behavior you are expecting to happen? If it is not happening, is anything happening when you use this keyboard combination? Also, have you tested this in a different browser?
yes, that is what i was expecting to happen, and i am on a windows pc and using FireFox, if it helps; and no, the text cursor stays still, as if the combination never existed.
i generally dont have 2 browsers at a time on my pc so ill go ahead and try it on chrome, also it only stopped working in the editor, it works perfectly fine in any other text input on my pc.
Wow, I just tested FF 116.0.3 on my Win11 machine and sure enough ctrl + right/left arrows doesn’t work. But the same version works fine on linux. Don’t know what is going on. Not sure there is anything that can be done.
i swear it used to work, idk why it breaks, btw it broke for me before and it also fixed itself at some point, and then broke again, im unsure how i fixed it but the last thing i can remember is my FF window freaked out a bit (jiggled and was mildly unresponsive) and then it broke, i hope someone can help with that
