I want to know if it is valid to upload a site in vercel.com instead of codepen for fcc curriculum projects.

It should work just fine.
For the RWD and frontend projects as long as the test script has access to the page it should work no matter the host. It is an “offline” test.
For the backend tests as long as the site is live and running in the correct environment it should work as well.
