Difficulty with Anchor Element within a Paragraph

Tell us what’s happening:
Brain Freeze! Need help completing last step: "Your a element should be nested within your new p element.’’ Last element is within <p element, so what’s the problem?

Your code so far

<h2>CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>

  <a href="http://freecatphotoapp.com" target="_blank">cat photos</a>

  <img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">

  <p>Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>

<p>View more <a href="http://freecodecamp.org">cat photos</a> </p>

   <p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>

Instead of having two anchor elements. Try having just one (which is inside the new p element).

The first element is correct; the 2nd isn’t passing! Is the 2nd written incorrectly?

  1. <p>View more <a href=“http://freecodecamp.org”>cat photos</a> </p>

<p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>

</main>

this is the rigth code

<h2>CatPhotoApp</h2>
<main>

  <p>View more <a href="http://freecatphotoapp.com" target="_blank">cat photos</a>
  </p>
  <img src="https://bit.ly/fcc-relaxing-cat" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">

  <p>Kitty ipsum dolor sit amet, shed everywhere shed everywhere stretching attack your ankles chase the red dot, hairball run catnip eat the grass sniff.</p>
  <p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>
</main>

the Challenge say:

Now nest your existing a element within a new p element (just after the existing main element). The new paragraph should have text that says “View more cat photos”, where “cat photos” is a link, and the rest of the text is plain text.

so the first <a> tag was the one you should have enclosed whit a <p> tag and not create a new one

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge.

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.

Thank you for understanding.

Understood! You’re welcome.
