I am trying to take the responsive web design exam for the first time and when I try to take the test it immediately says that the time’s up and that my exam has been sent for moderation, even though I haven’t even begun. Can someone help please?

This likely happens because your local time set on your computer is not correct for your timezone. The easiest fix is to re-sync your time, and/or set it to be automatically set.
Before taking another exam, test with the example/practice exam. If you are able to take that without issue, then you should be able to take the other exams without issue.
Reach out, if you are unable to take the exam due to the cooldown (retake) period.
