FCC JQuery calculator problem

What’s happening is my calculator is putting strings on the display. I don’t know why and can’t get help online.

I think you are getting the id name as the value with this line of code:

getValue(this.id);

And the id is obviously string:

<a class="btn btn-primary" id="seven">7</a>

This will solve your problem:

getValue(this.textContent);

yes i first had it the id was a number not the string, but had to change it because of user stories. I didn’t think about that. cause I’m so tried. I can make a class or something to put the digits in the input. i will let you know.
