I think your page looks good.
In codepen you don’t need to include the doctype, html and head tags. Codepen takes care of all that for you. If you need to include stuff for the head there is a place for that in the html settings.
For me, I was a little confused by the ad section and login button.

I didn’t know that about codepen.
For the log in button I was trying to replicate w3schools header. The ad I’ll probally change to a footer with my name in it.
