Feedback to freeCodeCamp

Hi there,

I love this site! Thank you so much for providing this platform.

I have a suggestion that would be easy to implement, but it may be flirting with your policy and code of conduct danger zone. But it would be very nice to have a copy of your ‘instructors’ notes available for your students. The lessons are extremely helpful for introducing the essential concepts to the various topics and concepts, however there are times where we students are instructed to delete fundamental concept-centric lines of code in favor of shorthand methods that are more in tune with best practices, which is excellent knowledge to pass on. With that said, that knowledge gets lost to us as we try to code the certification challenges.

When trying to review those valuable lesson notes and instructions, it’s too easy to get lost in navigating those previous lessons to glean the specific examples we are seeking.

And speaking for students like myself, any comments to myself (and others) get stripped away in the next lesson, or fail to pass your tests at all. I know this particular bit of feedback might be a much higher ask, but still, it would promote best practices of documenting your code.

If there were a way to capture the informative text from the instructor at the conclusion of each lesson, that would be really helpful to most students. Making it optional (to capture) or interactive to add notes from the student would be the bomb!

It might also be nice to resurrect a feedback avenue.

Thanks for all you do!

Bill~
