Filtered array using for loop

Tell us what’s happening:
Describe your issue in detail here.
why does my code fail? For the example array passed to the function, it only removes filteredArray[0] and filteredArray[2]. So what is reflected on the console is [ [ 1, 6, 3 ], [ 19, 3, 9 ] ].

  **Your code so far**

function filteredArray(arr, elem) {
let newArr = [];
// Only change code below this line
for (let i = 0; i<arr.length; i++) {
if(arr[i].indexOf(elem)>=0) {
  arr.splice(i,1);
  newArr = arr;
}
}
// Only change code above this line
return newArr;
}

console.log(filteredArray([[3, 2, 3], [1, 6, 3], [3, 13, 26], [19, 3, 9]], 3));
