Quite a beautiful project!
Two things to think about.
How about a little space at the top of the #main div? So it will not touch the top of the browser.
At less that 500px body width the list items are looking squished in the middle. You could increase the width to 96% or so to make it fill out the space more.

Your tribe page made me smile. Thanks for sharing! Also, it gave me a few ideas on how I might want to edit my tribute page with a nice gradient like that.
