For Mac Users Experince

I have an Apple Thunderbolt Display, and i plug it to a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015). What i found out is that i do not get the resolution of my Macbook Pro witch is (2880 x 1800), and the TD is 2560 x 1440), what is the problem ?, any ideas or comments are welcome/ or what to do to fix the issue, Thank you so much.

Let’s say you have a bag that can hold 2560 cubic inches of volume.
Can you pour 2880 cubic inches of stuff into your bag?
Bag == Display

That said, you can try going to your System Preference > Display > Scaled and see if you can select 2880 x 1800. But then again, what’s the point? Your monitor can only display 2560 x 1440.

Hello there! owel, yes i do understand that, but the thing is that i used to have a LED Cinema Display, and it worked find, the pixels and the resolution was great just like my Macbook Pro, and this LED Cinema Display was the same resolution, so now with the Thunderbolt do not seem to work that way.

I would get onto an Apple forum if I were you.
They need to know that their over priced products are junk.

Try using a 3rd-party software, like SwitchResX.

For example, I have a 23" Cinema Display, whose native resolution is 1920x1200 but I can use SwitchResX to force my ACD to display at 2560x1600.
